Located in the North West corner of Washington State, north of Seattle and just 10 minutes south of the United States/Canada Border, near Birch Bay on the beautiful Pacific Ocean, Miniature World is a wonderful place for the family to enjoy a day of fun and adventure. Exit 270 off I-5, head west 3 miles. Only 15 minutes from Bellingham and Lynden.
Our three main attractions are the 18 hole Miniature Golf Course, the Go-Kart Track, and the Miniature Train ride through the Forest of Imagination.
At Christmas, the big guy himself, Santa, comes down from the North Pole for a little rest from the hustle and bustle of making toys, and camps out at the end of the Winter Wonderland Train Ride. The Forest of Imagination is totally transformed with over a million bright lights sparkling and twinkling in the cool winter air. The effects of the cold are offset by free hot chocolate and cookies for each rider. If you wish to partake of some more substantial fare, you will find a concession at the North Pole which sells drinks, hot dogs and other goodies. In order to make your ride more comfortable, the trains are enclosed, and there is a covered, heated waiting area in the station. Just a hint to the wise--don't put off enjoying the train ride and the visit to Santa until the week before Christmas!!!! Early birds get to put in their orders to Santa in plenty of time for Christmas! AND as an added bonus, the lineups and waits for the ride are usually not as long!!!!!!!
On the Go-Kart Racing track, the entire family can join in the fun with their choice of Single Karts or the Two Seat Karts for the littlest ones to ride as a companion to an older family member. For more fun, if you buy 3 races, you get ONE FREE!!! (per person).
Miniature World is a family owned and operated facility, now run by Dale Giffen. Since taking over the operation of the property in 1971, the Giffen family has constantly changed and improved the operation.
Every year, the Giffen family adds more to the facility to enhance your enjoyment. The challenging and fun Miniature Golf Championship Outdoor 18 hole Par 72 course was the latest major addition. The Forest of Imagination changes on an annual basis so that each visit provides the participant with new adventures to view.
Throughout the website, you will find links to some Quicktime Movie Presentations where you get to meet Don Giffen, the founder of Miniatureworld Family Fun Center, and to see some of the "action" of the park. There is a music video presentation of "Santa Claus is Coming to Town" which takes the viewer on a musical ride through the wonderland of Santa's Christmas Light Extravaganza. These videos are on separate pages which are linked from each main page. Each video takes a considerable time to download, depending on the speed of your connection to the internet. If you know the speed of your connection, the file size of each presentation is given on the page, so you can estimate how long it will take for the download. If you are patient, they are fun to watch.
Navigation through the website is fairly simple. there are four main sections of the site....each pertaining to a different aspect of the park. You will find these pages by clicking on the button at the bottom of the page with it's appropriate name. Secondary links from each section are done by way of "pop-up pages" which have a button at the bottom of each page to allow you to close the page when you are finished viewing it and thus return you to the main page where you can choose another link, or move on to another of the main pages. Please adjust your browser to accept "pop-ups", as there are no advertising pop-ups associated with this website.
